Dear Animalert,

We wanted to let you know how much we have enjoyed having our beagle, Stanley, a part of our family.

We adopted Stanley from Animalert in November 2014 and immediately could not imagine life without him. Sadly, Stanley passed away this past December. Stanley was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February and in March we started monthly visits to the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph which included chemotherapy treatments. While there is no cure for this type of cancer in dogs, the treatments and care he received gave us many more months of fun and precious time with Stanley. In the end the cancer caught up with him and it was time to say goodbye.

Thank you for telling us about the 'nice beagle we have on the website' when we were looking for our first family pet.
